AI apps can already find a printer and quote a price. Then the conversation ends with a link and a to-do: open a design tool, retype everything, pick options, upload a file and hope it prints right.
Custom print is hard for agents because the artwork has to survive the trip to production. Today’s built-in AI checkouts don’t support personalized products at all. InkFE built the missing piece: a connector that owns the design, the proof, the approval and the order.
How it works
Tell your AI app what you need in plain words. It browses InkFE templates and products and asks only for what's missing.
InkFE places your details, logo or QR code into a designer-made template and fits the text to the printable area.
You see both sides as real print renders, right in the chat. Ask for changes and you get a fresh revision to review.
Nothing moves until you approve the exact artwork and print options, backed by a live quote that holds for 10 minutes.
You get a Shopify checkout with the print-ready file attached to the order. Review shipping, tax and the final total, then pay.
Why it’s different
Most AI shopping stops at a product page, and built-in AI checkouts don't support custom-printed products yet. InkFE carries your approved artwork all the way to a Shopify order. We proved it with a real paid order whose file matched the approved proof exactly.
Your agent must show both sides and get your explicit yes. Change anything and it's a new version needing a new yes. Approving artwork is always separate from paying for it.
No AI-generated guesswork. Your details go into layouts made by designers, with typography fitted to real trim and safe areas.
Built on the open Model Context Protocol, so the same InkFE connection works in Claude today, with Muse and more apps being verified.

Every line is fitted to the printable area. If a long title has to shrink, your agent tells you before you approve.
Front and back render as images in the conversation, the same artwork that goes to production.
Change a title or phone number and get a new version to review. Earlier approvals never carry over to changed artwork.
Pack prices come straight from the InkFE store, the same as inkfe.com. Unknown charges are called out, never guessed.
Your approved, print-ready artwork rides on the order line item into production. Nothing to re-upload.
Sign in with your existing InkFE login. Designs belong to you, and you can disconnect an app at any time.

Built for trust
An agent acting on your behalf needs hard limits. InkFE enforces them on the server, so they hold no matter which AI app you use.
If a size, corner or quantity isn't available, your agent has to ask you. It can't quietly pick something else.
Quotes expire after 10 minutes. If a price changes, you confirm the new terms before checkout.
One approval maps to one purchase. A dropped connection or retry recovers the same cart instead of creating another.
The name on the card may be a new hire. Your agent asks for the checkout email instead of guessing from the artwork.
Card details never enter the chat. You review shipping, tax and the final total on Shopify's checkout.
Each AI app gets a revocable grant, never your password. Remove it from your InkFE AI connections page.
